This is no ordinary Sun-sign astrology book!
Up until just a few years ago, if you wanted to know more about your birth chart and all the different aspects that determine your personality, you had to go see a professional astrologer. These days are different. There are great astrology sites on the web and free software you can download that enable you to use astrology in new and exciting ways.
In the book, I focus on the three big aspects: your Sun, Moon and Rising signs. The Sun is your overall personality, the Moon reveals how you feel and express your emotions, and the Rising is the first impressions you give to the world. Just because you know the part of the sky the Sun was in at the time of your birth doesn't mean you know your Moon and Rising signs - they can be located in any of the twelve signs of the zodiac!
In addition, the book dives into how to choose the perfect wedding day based on Moon signs. If you don't already know your Sun, Moon, and Rising sign, you need to know your date, time and place of birth. If you don't know your exact time of birth, don't guess. Instead go to the county in which you were born and request a copy of your birth certificate.
Once you know your exact date, time, and place of birth, it is easy to discover your Sun, Moon, and Rising signs. Either visit one of the free astrology websites below or download the free software.
Some of these free astrology websites also sell horoscope interpretations (that isn't necessary to read this book!), so they may only allow a certain number of natal chart calculations before you have to pay up. If you are only doing a natal chart, these free but limited services are good as they may include a small free interpretation of your birth chart. You only need to calculate your natal chart once to learn this important information and it might be nice to read more about your chart. Remember, there are so many free sites that you don't need to pay a dime.
If you are planning to use an astrology/horoscope program over and over again to check out the best wedding days, bridal shower and bachelor party days, you may find downloading the software easier, although they don't come with any interpretation. All the information you need to choose your wedding day, bachelor, bachelorette and bridal shower days based on Moon signs is written in Chapter One!

If the program or website has no interpretation:
A chart can be very confusing to look at. The key to reading these important aspects is to know the symbols of the Sun, Moon, and Rising as well as the symbols of the twelve signs.
The symbol for the Sun looks like a bulls-eye and the Moon looks like, well, a moon! They can be located anywhere around the circle. Locate the symbol and you will see two numbers on either side of a second symbol. That second, inner symbol is the sign of the Sun or Moon.
The Rising is a bit different. It's not a planet, it's the constellation that was on the Eastern Horizon at the time of your birth. Looking at an astrology chart as a clock, this will always be at 9 o'clock. What sign do you see when you look to the left of the line that denotes 9 o'clock? Remember that every astrology program has slightly different illustrations for the signs. If you can't interpret your Sun, Moon, and Rising using the chart below, use the astrology program's symbol table instead.
Once you know your Sun, Moon and Rising signs, go back to Chapter One for a detailed explanation of how to use this information to plan key dates and read your Sun, Moon and Rising signs as you read the rest of the book!
